The Plant Nurse app is designed around one simple principle: your garden is your business. Almost everything you enter — your plants, your care history, your photos — stays on your device. This policy explains the few places data does leave your device, why, and who it goes to.
Plant Nurse does not require an account and does not operate its own servers for storing your garden data — there is nothing to lose in a breach, because the app doesn't hold it.
Plant Nurse does not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone beyond the specific service providers described below, each of which only receives what's necessary to perform the specific task.
Certain features send a narrow, specific slice of data to outside services in order to work. No third party receives your full garden, your identity, or anything beyond what's listed here.

Each provider handles the data it receives under its own privacy policy: Pl@ntNet, Anthropic, OpenWeatherMap, Apple.
Your garden data is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device data framework. It is not copied to a Plant Nurse server, because none is operated for this purpose. If you use iCloud device backups, your data may be included in those backups under Apple's own iCloud terms — that's between you and Apple, not something Plant Nurse controls separately.
You can delete any individual plant, photo, or chat message at any time from within the app. Deleting Plant Nurse from your device permanently deletes all locally stored garden data along with it — there is no copy retained anywhere.
Care reminders are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's notification framework. Plant Nurse does not operate a push notification server, and no notification content is sent anywhere outside your device.
Because your garden data lives on your device, you already hold direct, immediate control over it: you can view, edit, or delete it at any time within the app, or remove all of it at once by deleting the app. If you have questions about how a specific feature handles your data, or wish to raise a request relating to data Plant Nurse may hold about you (such as support correspondence), use the contact details below.
Plant Nurse is not directed at children under 16, and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please use the contact details below and it will be addressed.
If material changes are made to this policy, the effective date above will be updated and, where appropriate, you will be notified within the app.
